Going to vist the inlaws in a couple weeks. Is there good riding within a reasonable driving distance of Clarkston? Not to familiar with the area and they just moved there a few months ago. Thanks for the help in advance.

blue mountians

The best place thats close is the blue mountians. It's located about 30 to 40 min. from clarkston. If you go south to asotin hwy 129 and go up asotin creek you'll come to Y in the road just stay to the left and go up the grade. you'll drive about 15 miles to cloverland and just keep on this road (it will be obvious the you'll see the mountian in front of you) it eventually turns into a dirt road. the snow line is usually @ the tree line as you drive in. The road isn't always plowed to the parking lot if it snows alot at a time, but you can always get to harlow corner. (it's a sharp left trun with a turn around spot at it). Be sure to get a snow park permit if you go/get to the parking lot. It's like a 75 dallor parking ticket and they're always up there ckecking it. They groom every wednesday night so thursdays the trials are like a highway. There's alot of fun area's to hit (rays ridge, mt. misery). They have a warm up shack up there that's about 12 miles from the parking lot. If you go to the washington forum the have a blues mountians thread on there that can kinda give you an idea of the conditions are like. You can also go to the waha mountians about 30 min south of lewiston that is mostly trials if you more into that kind of riding. I totally suggest the blues. if you just cruise around alittle you'll find alot of fun up there.
