Can someone tell me what the riding is like in the Beartooths? Snowest Magazine called it out as one of Wyoming's riding areas. I have ridden in that area on ATV's and know most of the common landmarks.
its a good time. i went there once on a trip to cooke city. we rode are last day in the tooths wish we would of went there both days as it seems not to get all tracked up like cooke does after a good snow.
My favorite place to ride. Good snow normally though it does seem to get a touch less then cooke or the rocks are just bigger.
A lot less people- can ride all day sometimes and not see a soul. And it is a bit easier place for beginners to ride then say cooke as it has some flat areas to play in too. Lots of country to ride and lots of different terrain, mountains to climb, trees to thread through, lakes to race across, meadows to carve in and lots of boomdocking oppertunities.
Watch some of the lakes though, plentiful springs along the edges of them.
WYSteph is right! Great well rounded area to ride. Been hitting the pow there for 30 years. Just watch out for rocks and open water near and around the lake sides
