We were able to snowmobile from town each day but by the end of the week it was getting a little bare.
We spent the last day riding in Gould in some of the deepest untracked snow we had ever ridden in. Headed out through Ft. Collins and back to MN.
That's my thoughts on the lower trails also. If you love humpty-bumps and monkey-butt to get to the good stuff, then GL's for you!
By the way, did you ride from GL to Gould or trailer over to Gould then ride? I'm planning to make the jump over the top from Gould this winter and interested in how that ride is and the route...
it's really that bad? centennial was awesome. just didn't like that we had to trailer up the mountain. this year we won't be able to do that since we are looking at renting a couple machines. where else is there to go? we really need to be able to ride from the house we rent for gas and to go up the mountain.
Last year was exceptionally bad! I don't ride GL either and Live 20 minutes away, Unless! it's a weekday afternoon and were getting good snow, then gravel mtn is pretty fun.
As far as Green rock or Centennial, they had 4 times the amount of snow last year then we did, and it's only 175 miles away![]()
i just don't want to make a mistake and go to place we are going to hate. like i said. centennial was awesome. the only thing that sucked was having to trailer up and nothing to really do after we were done riding.
u can rent sleds up top nothing to do? the bear tree is a nice place to eat alot of sledders to bs with
I'd see what the snow does. I live 15 miles from Grand Lake and barely ride there since the snow is better elsewhere. The Trails in town are only open if it snows as well, last year they closed them down so you'd trailer anyway.
Just a thought. How about Vail Pass, with rentals in Camp Hale and lodging in RedCliff or Leadville? Might be getting a little thin in March though. Who knows.
