Riding Boots

I have been agonizing over choosing the perfect riding boot. I am looking at the Klim Adrenaline GTX, and Klim says that it is 600 grams thinsulate. That really isn't all that much insulation as far as boots go... The HMK's have a completely different look, and appear to be much more bulky and heavy. So what should it be? A pair of Klim's, a pair of HMK's, or a good 800-1000 gram leather gore tex hunting boot from Cabelas?

a good boot

look at the hot pepper from Baffin. I also have a size 14 (for a 13 foot Baffin Pivot) that I need to sell, I'd let them go for a good price. Worn 1 time.

Just picked up a pair of Sorrels that have snaps instead of laces from cabelas for 30 percent off and rode them for 5 days up in the snowies. Warmest pair of boots I've owned. They have liners that you can pull out, good ankle support, and no worries about getting snow inside by way of the laces.

I would vote for Klim.
I have used them for the past 2 years. Lightweight but keeps the feet warm and dry.

Maybe think about why people's feet get cold. Boots are too warm, feet sweat, socks get wet, feet get cold.

Klim Adrenaline GTX, waterproof, Goretex, feet don't get too hot, stay dry, stay warm???

Bought mine mid-season last year along with Klim socks, haven't got cold yet.

Maybe if you stay seated all the time only riding trails a warmer boot would be better.

I hated my old Klim boots got the new adrenaline's and they are as comfortable as my Danner work boot's . The first snowmobile boots that I haven't waited in anticipation to take off.

Ditto! I've worn mine now for 2 seasons and love em. I just bought the wife a pair, and if they keep her feet warm they should work for anyone. :D:D

Klim

we just bought 2 pair of Adrenalines, can't wait to use them.. Been using the old Polaris Leather boots, wear a good pair of socks and the 600 grams of thinsulate won't phase you.

KLIM if you want warm dry feet--VE just got a pr for x mas and said its the first time his feet havent been cold or wet in years---KLIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS: they seem to run a little small so make sure they are big enough for a thin pr and a heavier pr of socks with a little room to spare

For the money ... BATA military issue WINTER BOOT nicknamed MICKEY MOUSE BOOTS.

The whites SEEM better than the black but when using can't tell the difference. White boot is rated for colder temp over the black.

$25 for them and they work in all conditions.

You can get a couple pairs delivered for under $50.00

USA issues these boots to the military for winter conditions and are a very common boot in Alaska's outback ... maybe try them and use the $100 you saved for fuel. If you don't like them sell them for what you paid.

I've been wearing Klim Radiums for years, and had cold/wet feet everytime. I bought a new pair of Radiums GTX gortex, but sold them before i used them as I just wasn't convinced that they were the ticket. I have used my new Klim Adrenaline GTX gortex 3 times and am extremely impressed with their performance. Feet aren't warm but they aren't cold either, they are dry as well. They are easy to put on, and you can drive your truck with them if needed. As far as I'm concerned there is no other company making a boot that gaurantees you to stay dry, so nothing else to even consider.

I wore the Klim Adrenaline GTX boot all last season. At -15 F they my feet got cold when stopped, however never got cold while riding. I like them better than any other boot I have owned for riding. The white Alaska bunny boots(milliary betas) are good for real cold weather but if your feet sweat alot like mine you will not like them.
