Riding Areas near Vernal?

I've been working out in Vernal a lot and was wondering if there are any places near there to ride? I was thinking maybe north of vernal on the way to flaming gorge? I don't know if I will get any time to ride but I want to be prepared if i can.

Also, anyone know what rules are about registering your sled? I live in Colorado so I obviously have it registered there but would I have to in Utah as well?

Wolf Creek

Isn't the pass closed quite aways down the road on the Vernal side? Still about 2 hrs from Vernal to the pass. Could stay on 40 and get to Daniels Strawberry in about the same time I think.

If you go to ww.snowut.com and go to trails and at bottom of page is complex number and #4 is the Vernal area. Red Cloud loop is probably the most used but there are a few trail heads and lots of groomed trails to take you to fun play areas and they are having the best snow they had in a while! Have fun
