Riding above Bear Lake, ID

I will be riding just above Bear Lake this week and wanted to know how the conditions are and if the Avalanche damager is as bad as around the cottonwood canyon areas. The Utah Avalanche site says considerable, is that still correct.

I will be riding up Green Canyon to Egan, and Franklin Basin.

Avalanche danger is very high right now which means stay off the hills. Egan basin and down danish pass into franklin there are plenty of rolling meadows and small roller hills and pockets to play on and not be in any trouble.

Was just there, since there's not a lot of big hills and plenty of small hills and meadows you should have a great time.

Still some rocks tho.....

A buddy hit one and put his rail thru the track.
Was still able to make it out.

That is good to know because I usually head stait up to the pigs tail for a little sight seeing. I will stick to the meadows this week.

Is the snow deep from the valley up or is the valley still shallow.

Thanks for the info

I just come through there a few hours ago. There is around a foot down by the lake, and looks to be about 3 up on top of the summit.
