Hi everyone, I hope you're all ready for another DEEP winter!
As many of you may know, I had a life changing snowmobile accident while filming for Slednecks and Frontier Films last February. I was airlifted out of the backcountry and underwent 14 hours of trauma surgery to repair my broken vertebraes, Scarum, Coxyx, ruptured bladder, shattered heel, ankle and tibfib. I spent a couple months in the hospital and a few more in a wheelchair.
But that was then...I have been working super hard on physio and strength training all summer and I'm ready to ride again! I just told the story to Sledheads magazine (November I believe) so you can read all about it there. I went through some difficult times but with some determination and a lot of support from my family, friends and fans I have been able to overcome an accident that almost killed me.
I am very excited to annonce that I will be running http://www.ridewithchrisbrown.com again this year. This will be my third season and it will be the best one yet! New snowmobiles, a wicked new lodge and new Tenure for some of the BEST terrain I have ever ridden!!! Please check out the website and contact me if you have any questions. I offer group discounts and early/late season discounts.
I am lining up a group ride with a company called 9lives Adventures this winter. 9Lives will bring some people to my lodge and I will take them out for a snowmobile adventure. The riders will all be paraplegic and haven't been on a snowmobile since their accident. I am really excited about this...I was in a wheelchair for months wondering if I would ever walk again. I had a lot of people help me and I feel this is the least I could do. I can't wait to see the smiles on their faces! If anyone knows someone who should join this group ride please don't hesitate to contact me.
I hope everyone has an amazing and SAFE winter!
Cheers,
Chris Brown
