Chris will be hosting 10-12 BIG MOUNTAIN RIDING CLINICS in BC, OR, ID and WA this winter!
The clinics will focus on everything from Avalanche Training to Riding Skills workshops. Chris will help you improve your boondocking skills, sidehilling, hill climbing, deep powder descents, jumping, suspension set up and much more!!!
2 day Clinic Schedule:
Friday night: Meet and greet with Chris and the other riders. Chris will jump right into avalanche safety/awareness discussions and training.
Saturday morning: Chris will start with a safety meeting and beacon search. Chris will teach everyone how to do a quick and effective beacon search. Once you get up into the riding areas Chris will talk about reading terrain to be safe in the backcountry.
Saturday: Chris will be working on ALL riding skills with you. Professional photos and video will be taken during the day. Chris will set up fun courses for training purposes.
Saturday night: After dinner Chris will review the video footage with everyone and he will go over the strengths and weaknesses of what he sees. Techniques to improve on every aspect of riding will be discussed. For example, Chris will discuss throttle/brake control and slowing everything down to get into more tight, technical terrain.
Sunday: Sunday will be a day where every rider gets to practice their new techniques and have Chris coaching them. It will be a day of fun free riding and sharpening those skills up. The day ends at sunset. At the end of the clinic Chris will gather your email addresses so he can send you photos. Every rider will get a complimentary T-shirt.
Chris wants every rider to leave his riding clinic with a wealth of new information and awesome new skills on their sled. It will be a really fun weekend!
Please bring your sled, 3 antennae beacon, probe, shovel, pack and riding gear. Chris can also provide new Yamaha Nytros, avy gear and packs if needed.

These clinics may not be for everyone...but they are for ANYONE who wants to improve their riding skills and learn more about avalanche awareness and safety. Chris rides between 100-150 days a year in the backcountry and has EXTENSIVE avalanche and wilderness first aid training. Chris wants to share everything he has learned with you.
