Rexburg bench/Red Butte

off road vehicle stickers

and they should be ticketed and fined... when there is more than 12" of snow its off limits to wheeled vehicles...

unfortunately in the state of Idaho you can put a sled sticker on your 4 wheeler and ride it down ALL GROOMED TRAILS. If it has a sticker "IT IS LEGAL"

I would bet you that they didn't have em though

I was up there on Saturday, I did not go all the way to Red Butte. At Hinkley creek (intersection of 218 and 182) there was only 2'. I would imagine that up high there might be 3' but cannot say for sure. There were a ton of pickups and trailers in the parking lot (Rexburg bench past the substation) and the trail was well used. Still not enough snow!!!

I agree X2. Phatty are you guys gonna be filming up that area at all end of the month?

i imagine i will make a trip or two home :) sure love the big holes!

the 4 wheelers here in utah leave so many freaking trenches its insane... i hate it, i called the Fish cops one day to come stop it, and all they did was ticket non registered sleds... i let them have an ear full about it...
Signs are clearly posted for no ATV travel when snow depth exceeds 12", yet fish cop man was ticketing non registered sleds as multiple ATVs ripped up the trail...

Anybody been up there lately? If so can you unload at the cattle guard area or do you have to ride across the fields by the cellures? How much is on top? Can you get off the trail and not worry yet?

I was up there last weekend and it was good it has got more since the last time. back in 1000 springs and garns there was hella powder! getting good base finally

Anyone that is interested in a trail map for this area let me know. I can get you as many as you want. Send me a PM and I'll give you the details on how to get em to ya.

Went up there today. There is getting a good base. We had to look hard to find fresh snow, a lot of riders have been up there. I did notice on Piney Peak, that there were several slides. One slide was very large on the east side of Piney. Please be careful.

My brothers were up there today and said there was enough snow to climb on the red butte but said there was some bare spots and had to watch for rocks. They also said they were bouncing off of ruts from other sleds but once they got in past that area it was great. I got a feeling a couple more good snow storms and the area be paradise.

2 of us maybe 3 going in tomorrow. Wouldn't mind picking up a couple more guys. Let me know if your off on a Wednesday and want to go track it up with us!
