Revy or McBride???

I'm from Newfoundland and myself and a buddy of mine are going out west for a snowmobile trip this year. My brother lives in Ft. McMurray and he will be meeting us. There will probably be 6-8 of us. We have to rent a couple of sleds, the guys from Ft. Mac have their own sleds.

I'm leaning toward Glacier House, they seem to have pretty good packages available. Not sure about McBride. Where can you rent sleds there?

We are looking at Feb or March, when would be the best time to go?

Any help would be appreciated.....

If you go to McBride it'll be an easier drive for the Fort Mac boys. You can rent sleds from one of two places, Probably the best would be Spin Drift Powersports. It's just up the street from the cop shop in an old gas station. You'll see it on the right side on your way into town. Can't remember what the other outfit is called but it has a fancy new building and nobody is any help. They tried to tell me there was never such a thing as a ski-doo 1000 when I had one on my truck outside.

You probably want to go up to Renshaw, the trail is 30km in but it's a quick trip. I ran with a group once that knocked it off in under 18 minutes. It's a huge area so if you get bored just rip over the next saddle. That said, not the best place if it's socked in.
