Review of new Timbersled Mtn. Tamer rear suspension

Looking good Matt…. Thanks for the review.<O:p</O:p
The new design Mtn. Tamer is truly one of the most innovative skids on the market.<O:p</O:p

I'm looking for sponsorships. Do they bend?

well i have the frt barkbuster with the fox evols..willikers i hit some big stuff that jolts me and im scared to look and when i do she is always all ok...it really surprises me how tough the frt kit is...the back seems just as tough hitting and landing hard..so far so good..!!

how is the mtn. tamer for the average rider? I have a 08 rmk with zbroz shocks and I get around pretty good for my experience. Is this more for the extreme rider doing the crazy climbs and stuff ?

The skid will certainly help you out. You do not need to be a pro rider or have a turbo to utilize the performance of this skid. They hold the back of the track into the snow much better than the stock skid. This will give you better traction. Also the skid will equalize the ground pressure on the track with the coupling. This also gives you more traction, helping your sled get on top of the snow faster. The ride is amazingly smooth and it will shave off about 15 lbs off a Dragon. All this will reduce the amount of fatigue at the end of the day.

question mtn. muncher,so to put the mtn. tamer in my stock skid i need the fit kit for the rails. then do i need the 8in rear wheels and axle and a anti-stab kit to complete the install? I have the zbros front track shock, can that be reworked to fit the mtn. tamer?

To mount the Mtn. Tamer onto your stock rails you will need a fit kit only, you will not need a new axel, bigger axel wheels or anti stab. The anti stab wheels work well when you put no slip drivers because you can cut the front of the rail and make the wheels the leading edge of the rail and not run the rail caps to clear the drivers.<O:p</O:p
The Exit shock that you have in the stock skid will not work with the MT front arm. It is not long enough.<O:p</O:p
