Reverse is not working

I pulled apart my pro to clean under neath the air boxs, when I reassembled my reverse it no longer worked, yes I checked all connections and all plugs are fasten the correct way, I dis assembled and rechecked, still doesn't work. Now we have a winter storm that has dumped over 4 feet of snow. Any suggestions on what to look for. One thing that I did note was a little oil had seeped into a few plug ends when I disconnected, I wiped it down and no results.

Please help.

Does it idle down all the way? My throttle cable was a bit to tight causing a high idle therefore reverse wouldn't work. Just a thought....good luck!

X2 on the idle... whats it idle at? how long do u let it warm up? the sled wont go into reverse if you dont let it warm up

It idles down to 1750 rpm and stays there, temp can run up to 120 and no difference. Per the OM any idle over 4 thousand rpm will not allow the PERC to work.

Thanks,

May have to ride my 08 700 this week end. be takeing my pro to the shop on Friday.

No offense intended....but...

Four feet of snow and you won't ride because you don't have reverse????

i don't know polaris yet as i still have not recieved my sled but with doo the sled will just die if the sleds not warm or not at the correct rpm.

Did it work when your dealer delivered/showed you how things work on your new sled

I have put nearly 1000 miles on it, worked up until I reassembled it. ( I have had it apart two other times ) I think one of the pin plugs may have failed, definatly a connection issue, just don't know where else to look, I don't want to unravel all the sheathing on the wire harness, to the shop.

It simply doesn't activate.

A Simple as a Bad Switch??

Get out a DVOM.. and Find out!!!

No, Found the issue, it was me playing with something I know nothing about !

When I had my air box out a few weeks back I screwed with the throttle body sync. screw, what happens is you either increase or decrease the voltage value moving the screw in or out, In my case I adjusted the screw to the left and lost voltage.

This is a good lesson for me, leave it alone unless its broken, don't screw with it, could have cost me 500 dollars for my stupidity, these sleds are spot on from the factory.

Guess I can leave old faithful at home.
