Revelstoke riding buddies

Anyone up in Revelstoke willing to show a newbie around? I'm moving up there for the winter by this weekend and would love to get out and start riding ASAP. If you don't mind showing me the ropes a bit I'd be happy to return the favor with some beers. Also, any advice on where to ride early season and find info about riding areas and people to ride with would be greatly appreciated. My buddies won't be showing up there til early December so gonna be flying solo until then.

Thanks!

Not a newbie to mountains by any means but a newbie to sledding. I've been skiing/snowboarding regularly for about 16 years, which is the original reason I decided to head up to Revy for the winter. I also downhill mountain bike and kiteboard a lot so I'm pretty active. I've ridden ATVs a few times and think I'm a fairly quick learner so hoping to get into it pretty quickly this winter. I'll be riding an '09 Skidoo Summit X with 163" track.

Looks like the snow's starting to come down :)

You might want to go up to Glacier house tomarrow night for the Avy Seminar.
Should be lots of peps there to hook up with.

Hey dude, are you still needing a copilot? I'm planning on doing the polaris demo tour ride on the 15th, and might come up on the 14th and stay to ride on the 16th. Would you be able to rip any of those days? I'm on a 2010 Doo 163X.

Yeah, I'm pretty flexible. Hurt my back a bit today and my sled is a bit torn apart (trying to find electrical problem) but I think I should be healed and have the sled back together by then. Let's keep in touch.
