HI All,

This will be my first trip to REVY next weekend. THere are 4 of us coming down. I am looking for a nice place to stay, prefer a cabin type setting with meals. I have inquired at the Glacier House but not keen on staying there. Does anyone no if Rod Alford is still running his chalet out of revy? Any recommedations would be great...

Nope. Rob told me he has rented the house out longer term.
it was at logchalet.com but you might as well give him a call just to see. sweet place!

i am still renting out short term and long term . I have moved out of the place and am trying to rent the whole place out , but still rent out single rooms also.

Just curious why you dont like Glacier HOuse we have stayed there quite a few times and its awesome

Glacier House

I too am curious about Glacier house. I just booked a trip for 8 of us the second week of Jan. Will be our first trip there and was wondering why the neg feedback. The only reason I booked there was that I was told it was THE place to stay when sledding in Revy.

A few years ago a certain guide went in a out of bounds zone with a guided group....I am not sure if they got fined or not but it was not "cool." The thread still might be on here someplace.

My group was looking for something a little more laid back, Glacier is a good size lodge and we are looking to relax with out having to share a big screen tv or fight over what hockey game to watch. I have stayed in this that type of lodge before "terracanna" in valemount and did not mind it, but after working 24 days straight I do not want to be crowed around a TV, hot tub....ect.

I can't say anything about the accomadations there because I have yet to stay there, but I have heard lots of good and not so much bad....Rob's place is smaller and out of the way, and I have yet to here any negative feed back...and we want to ride with Rob...

Alfords place is Bad ***!! You will love it!! Stayed there the last two seasons and will be back agian this year. Its out of the way, safe, very comfortable, hot tub, big screen, wifi, heated garage if needed. And if ya ride with Rob you'll have the experiance you wont soon forget!!

The Grumpy Bear Lodge is really good. sleeps 8 comfortably, big screen TV, full kitchens. Luxury acoms with great prices. He will rent, nightly, weekly, or monthly, parking for trucks/trailers, and a double garage for working on sleds.
