16G worked for me. clicker #3, 8100-8250RPM, 8000feet. The more I ride the more i like!!!!!!!2008 REV-xp X 154
They turned out to be 12.5grams and I was on clicker 1... Hmmm.
SO, I ran 17.6 grams and clicker on 5 while in Canada and now will run about 16G while in Idaho, should put me on clicker 3. More feedback to come.
You've got it Skippy. 12.5 stock, I ran 16gr in Idaho last week for over 400mi & clicker 3 = 8200 rpm 6000-7500ft. Above that I'd click to 5 & be good to 10,000ft. Heavy pow maybe 6. Problem I hope Joe can fix w/new helix is the need for stopping & clicking. Be bouncing on rev limiter if got lazy & didn't click dwn to 3 for trail dwn. 400 & some of over the hood pow on same 166 orange belt & looks like new.
a few weeks ago, we had 5 xp stockers with us, all had stock weight(12.4) we were at about the 5 to 7000' and most were between clicker 3 and 6, i am sure if they had 16 grams in, they would of not even hit 7ooorpm... maybe its the type of snow, but i am sure they would of been real low with that weight
In alot of cases, when adding weight the engine RPm will not drop (if your way light to begin with) and it will just take away heat and add power. If you add the 44/33 helix you can then swing more weight, keep a good backshift and it'll work even better.
I just got my clutching all figured out. I'm running 2mm Over rollers with .4g weights in em. Rollers, pins, and weighting is about 26.2g. Hitting 8200rpm @ clicker 3. Have you tried these rollers it upshifts so fast the holeshot is unreal.. Best clutching I've tried yet..
