REV timbersled intake

im not interested in horsepower gains, im just looking for weight loss and maybe a fix for my big airbox bouncing around and breakin the dumb carb boots they put on the revs.. its an 05 800 adrenaline. does the system make the sled run worse or what? like i said, im not tryin to argue that it makes 4hp or whatever, just wanna know if it makes it run worse than the stock airbox.. thanks!

did it make the sled run worse??

i know personally, that when something makes it better i dont sell it, but im assuming u got the XP so u dont need the parts for the rev anymore..

the rev witht he blown motor lol..

I've got one on my sled, didnt notice any power gains, just had to raise the needles up one notch and she ran like a bute! they sound cool too! just make damn sure that you put some prefilters on the pods and buy a sheet of prefilter to put over the vents they include to keep your belt happy and dry.

talked to another guy who ran the intake and blew his motor and found belt dust in the crank. thats why i say use prefilters and just keep them clean. thats my plan anyway.:beer;:)

Right. Didn't notice any power gains. The motor blew cause of a leaky crank seal. Rebuilding the motor and running it bone stock and trying to sell it. selling the mod parts off of it to pay for a lightweight suspension for the XP. Like I said earlier, I have all of the parts necessary for the intake kit. $50 plus shipping and you can have the kit.

gotcha, i can pick that up in about 2 weeks unless u think your gonna sell it before. ill be outta town till then but when i come back ill have all my money and be buying parts.

and i will be using prefilters, i ran em on my mountain cat and they workd great.

just taking a lil more weight off the rev andy. we riding this year or what?? did u get an M7?

Pods + DPM

Has anyone ran into any problems running pods and the DPM system on the REV's

The timbersled intake is pretty much the same as running pods, except you get a $200 piece of bent aluminum to hold your airbox sensor. Best way to go is buy a used kit or find some poor sap like me who paid full price, coppy it, and then bild your own kit for like $50:beer;

The question is if anyone has run into problems by running there kit, regarding the vacuum hose from the DPM and the temp Sensor that mounts inside the stock air box

the new space available made is the rel ticket, i suggest mouting a huge plastic box of some kind that can contain tooling/tow strap/ect....it keep more weight of the backpack right!

Yup I really like the extra space that it gives. Mounted a sparkplug holder on top of mine. Getting rid of that suitcase of an airbox setup is supposed to help your clutches run a little cooler too.
