Rev rear suspension problems?

Hey guys Im new to the sight and sleds for that matter lol. I just bought a 2004 summit rev 800 and I have some questions about the rear skid suspension. I know theirs somthing wrong with it because I can press down on the rear of the tunnel, the suspension will compress pritty easily and then I let go and it springs right back up to the top of its travel with no dampening. So are the shocks in the skid bad? The front one? The rear one? Both of them? Could there be somthing wrong with the torsion springs? There both HPG shocks. Any input is aprechiated.

been there...

remove the shocks from the skid (easy) and compress them on the garage floor with your body weight if they rebound quickly... well hopefully they are rebuildable. Good luck.

lol I actually already did all that and there non rebuildable. The shock in the rear of the skid is like a little pogo stick haha thank you for conferming my suspisions. Now its time to order parts...

Look around, or contact Ian and mosnter performance. Monsterperf.com
If your gonna spend the money go this route and he will build the shocks based on your weight and riding style. Better options then from the dealer, trust me.

Bought a 04 800 for my wife last year.Same problem its the rear shock.Bought a Ryde FX.through Dennis Kirk about $200
