rev pipes

Just wondering what kinda pipes would be good for my o6 rev 800 ho,and any experience you guys have had with different brands/types.

I have no other mods on the sled if that makes a difference, which im sure it does.

Thanks,
Garret

pipe

It's hard to beat the stock pipe on Doo.I would run stock pipe with aftermarket silencer, like HPS can or do a search.

When we had my '06 split Second 860 on the dyno we had quite a line up of brand A, B, C pipes. None of em made gains, a few of em lost.

Neil made one up that made a tad more, maybe 5-8 or so. Never had time to fit it into the sled though.

Never tried any twins, just singles.

My .02 (not worth anything anymore anyways)....Take the clam shell off and have the stock pipe ceramic coated...I forget who does them but I know someone has exchange programs for skidoo pipes...stock is best all around unless your riding wide open all the time....Most pipes are to fiiky and hard for the average Joe to keep up on clutching with the aftermarket pipes...JMO

if you dont port it and put a head on leave it stock--nobody made a good pipe for stock 04 to 07 revs--jmo

Dyna Port

We bought a used 06 800 X , came with a Dyna Port pipe and can. Runs great, sled is stock other than that. I will agree with the stock pipe works great, get coated and add a can for WAY less $$$$$$$$$ than after market set up. Dino

yeah, for the price of a pipe, get a RKT head, way better investment, or a DJ clutch kit, money MUCH better spent. do the can just for the weight.

Clutch first, then can then RKT head, the clutching will impress you, and the can is just a nice weight saver on those things.

Never understood taking the clamshell of and coating instead. Saving minimal weight and end up with a much more finky pipe. the clam + insulation works awesome. Ceramic does very little to insulate, its alot better just for corrosion protection.
