Rev eats chaincases

so my 2003 800 rev 121 destroyed a chaincase. bolt end broke off and took it and the metal spacer at the end into the chain and snapped the chain out the bottom of my case. i even had a 15 chain on there. any tips on how to fix this from happening again?

make sure all your bolts are tight and put loctite on em, other than that, just bad luck, it happens randomly.

It is always a good idea to replace the bottom bolt before every season. $0.20 bolt is cheap insurance. Still I had the head come off one. caught it before it did any damage though

Had the same thing happen to my 07 last year, don't know why. It was a month after the warranty was up.

how often do you check your chain tension? Any hard landings?

the lower bolt on mine backed out and pop'd a hole in the case and the washer went inbetween the chain and the case and broke the lower case. took the cover off and pulled all the broken pieces out and put the cover back on and rode back to the truck, new chain, case and welded the hole on the outer case up and good to go. use red lock-tite on all the bolts in there.
