Rev Crankshops

Just wondering if anyone has had negative/possitive experiences with putting crankshop twins on an 800X Rev. I'm thinking about putting them on, but not sure how great the gain is. I was told possibly up to 20hp gained. I believe I would have to increase the weights in the front clutch and put a bigger spring in the rear. Also go up approximately 3 jet sizes. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

totally different ball game but i love mine on my rt1000. good build quality and sound. its a tight fit on my 1000 and im sure the 800s the same. if you havent id get dj's clutch kit. tell him what you've got and he'll adjust the kit accoudingly.

If you go the Crank Shop route go through Big John, the crank shop has horrible service and can't even get an order right.
I'd like to tell you I love my mondos but I guess I got the wrong pipes so I'll have to get back to you.

Guy at lower elevations say they ROCK! Haven't talked to anyone running up high yet.

Pipes at altitute

The Crankshop Twins are impossible to dial in at varying altitudes.
We dialed them in at 5000, worked great. At 6000 and 7000 they did not work without rejetting. We decided that the best way to dial them in was hang them on the wall of the shop. If you are not running at a fairly constant altitute do not waste your money. But if you decide you need a set I can find you a hardly used Ceramic Coated set at a good price.... Buy a Big Volume Single Dynoport for best results Mountain Riding. By the way 20 HP is a pipe dream. That's quit an achievment without engine work.

There's a guy running the "mondos" at 10K' having good luck with them.
Not sure about the variety of elevations he goes through but it sounds like these new pipes work.

Crank NOT

Had a set wrong wrong wrong adds wieght and never find the tune worked good when first jetted then lost it single pipe is better CS was of no help when they finally answered the phone so I could fax them the questions and they then faxed back the so so answers of the twin pipes and the under horse power 900 so not bashing just stating my expierence!
