Rev bolt in suspension question

I am trying to remove my rear skid to install new hifaxes on my 06 Summit. I had a ZX Chasis before and I just removed the 2 rear bolts & the 2 front bolts and the skid came out. Well it looks like the front 2 bolts go through a rubber bushing and I am having a hard getting them out all the way out. And I only was ablt to get one of the rear ones out. I cannot remember if the bolts in the rear work together at all or not. Any suggestions? I know it should not be this difficult. Thanks.

Keep the skid in the sled and slide the hyfax out the windows. Take a blade and widen a window on each side of the track and slide them out. You only have to trim a tiny amount. Piece of cake.

skid

you dont have to pull the skid,but yes the rear bolts do go into the same shaft,break one loose w/impact pull it out and put a nut on it then put it back in partialy and tighten the nut tight to tunnel,then break the other side loose and come back to the nut with a wrench and loosen,dun,fronts have a nut on the back side through a steel bushing,it is easier to get the hyfaxes off w/skid out if they dont cooperate.i put a little oil/vasoline on the hyfax for easy install and removal slide on and off easy,hope it helps.cheers:beer;
dont forget to loosin rear axle for slack either way you do it.
