Rev 07 belt and clutch problems and mods

I just got a 07 rev 144, i have only about 4 rides on it, the first 2 before clutch updates and the other 2 after, it runs really damn well but when it is under any pressure like deep snow or hills the clutches and belt heat up so much that i have to sit and let them cool for at least half and hour, they get so hot i can't even touch them and the sled gets really mushy. it is really starting to piss me off because everytime i go up i end up sitting around waiting for them to cool down just as much as i get to ride, anyone have a solution for this or know of any other recalls that brp has that they might not tell you at first? also i have heard that the heat generated could sieze the crank bearing and fry the motor?

Also what mods are good to do, i was thinking about gearing it down, i did it to my last sled which was a polaris 02 rmk and it was freak'n awesome but i'm not sure if i want to for the rev, and of course i put a stinger in it.

any help would be great
thanks

Gear down...i run 19/47 with a 159 you probably can gear a little taller than that. Go with a 44/40 or 44/36 helix, 160/290 primary spring and as much weight as it will pull on clicker 4-5.

I have gone through all of that and more on my 07 144. I had installed venting, covered up the little nike opening with SLP prefilter material, and removed the plastic clutch cover all before I rode it. I got rid of the Lite trackafter a few rides, stopped trenching and goes much beter. Still had hot clutches, ate belts every ride cause I did not stop to let things cool down. Have had all the BRP updates, and it is still off. Also have Ducks floating secondary. Helped with alignment being off a bit, and now belts seem to last a bit longer. Now I am not so much noticing hot clutches or belt issues, but it loses 200 RPM or more when climbing. I am now running a DJ helix, although I am sure a 44/40 or 44/36 will be good too. I am now also running 19/47 gears. It sure is more fun to ride when playing now, but not as much fun on the trails and not as good of fuel milage. Maybe a 20/47 or 19/45 would be okay too. I tried 20/45 and it was not enough. Currently I am waiting for a new primary from BRP under warranty, I will see how that works out. Good luck, I know it is frustrating. I have mine working good now, but I know there is still room for improvement.
