retro fit reverse

Hi,

Anyone out there done a reverse retro-fit on an '05 M-7 to add reverse?

Didn't a couple years have a mechanical reverse built into the DD? Can I put that on my wife's M7 and give the sled reverse?

nobody has tried this? Anybody got any suggestions? I'm going to have to make some calls tomorrow and start asking actual live questions.

Lot's of people have looked at it and decided it's just not worth it. Cheeper to sell the M7 and buy an M8 with rev.

the DD case with reverse has a different outline and mounting points than the M7 case. Plus the drive shaft is also shorter.

It "could" be done with a 07 reverse case, cutting the tunnel (or replacing), 07+ left foot rest, 07 drive shaft, and some fabricated manual reverse actuator to replace the electric one.

Like has been said, it would be expensive.
