retreiving stored codes

I am wondering if there is anyway to retreive stored codes any way? Mayby by jumping out a couple wires like you used to do on the older cars. Then the check engne light flashes the stored codes. Is this possible on the 2006 900 RMK? Mine is at the cottage 2 hours from a dealer and I would like to read my codes then check for the problem rather than run it in to the dealer.

When there is a problem the code will flash when it is running.
Then count the codes and check with the chart on the sticky.
When the problem is fixed the light will stop flashing.

As far as looking for stored codes, it really should not matter unless your having an intermittent problem. If the computer is not displaying a code while the sled is running, there isn't anything wrong at that moment that the comupter is 'aware' of.

If you are having an intermittent problem where the light has come on during a ride, and then gone off later, the only way to get that code is with digital wrench at the dealer.

I am having an intermittent code flash when riding it as fordguys says. Last time it happened I didnt get a chance to count the flashes. Sled misses and hesitates when the pipe is cold but works fine once all warmed up. This has been going on for a while and finally last Sunday it blinked the CEL but I missed it and caught 3 blinks but I believe there were more just not sure as to how many more.

If it were 3 blinks, that is the IAT sensor, and it is getting a reading out of the correct range which is between .19 and 4.9 volts. If it is out of spec it will flash at you. double check your connections first.
