AMAZING!!! Rode my 2013 pro 600 rmk this weekend in Togwotee, WY from 9-10,500 ft. the sled pulled so hard and best part was we were riding 16" of very wet and heavy snow on top of about 30" base so worst case scenario for a under powered 6 right? Wrong! Had a 2013 pro 800 and 2012 summit 800 they both rode the 600 and both came back speechless, they could not believe how close it was to the 800, loved the throaty sound it gave, and they were shocked the situations I would put my sled in and power right out of them.

Sled was only pulling 8050rpm's going to shave 1gram off the 56gr. weights
I had in it, and one more comparison is the pro 8 was only pulling 58's! Enough bragging, what I really wanted to get across was Brad's products with power addiction, if your reading this Brad I give you A++ on your heads biggest power gain I have ever put on a sled, and also gained amazing throaty tone with this and HPS can.. If you own a pro, do not hesitate to get this head you will not be disappointed! :bounce:

Did you have any miles on the sled before you put the head on or right of the bat? Just curious cause i am getting this head but wondering if I need a few miles on it stock first. Thanks sounds like a great addition to the 6!

I put 20 miles on with stock head to let things settle in, and then installed the PAR head.. It will blow your mind, plus putting a few miles on with stock head will give you a good idea of the difference.

I installed mine after about 10 miles just to get a feel for the stock, I purchased 13.1 and 13.6, put the 13.1 in ran at 3000 feet added 1 gallon of
C12, huge difference on bottom end power, and pulled harder throughout, but 30 miles on with PAR head, still doing the break in as per manual so know long pulls but did notice about 150 more RPM

On a 600?

I was going to do the full SLP pipe/can/power commander and the head on my 600 but after reading this it sounds like maybe I dont need to do that???? From what your saying just the head would be plenty correct?:face-icon-small-hap

I would also recommend HPS can as brad runs that with the 800 power package, it flat out works and was a great investment!

I would do the head and clutching over the pipe. Much cheaper and probably better gains at high elevation. I also installed the 13.6 head and total cost is 350.

mine is a 600, and I run the HPS can as well, Iluvtofly what elevation are you at?

I will mostly likely go with a different brand of can as I can get cost on just about every brand other than HPI. How much re clutching is needed and what are you guys running? Most of our riding is from 5500-9500 ft.

I just pulled the motor out of my 13 800 and sent it in for the long rod, and par head, also have the HPS can. Now if we can just get some snow.

I ride 6-10K. For now I am running a stock can as I decided to get the carls clutch kit instead of the can for the money. Can't wait to get out and ride. Mine currently has:

58 gram bellybuster weights
Carls helix
140/330 primary spring
delrin washers in secondary
F bomb track mod

Really hoping I can pull 8200rpm at 9500ft with this setup, but if I can't I will switch to 56 gram bellybuster weights.

I have Carls clutching on the way as well. With the tabbed P2 where did u end up putting the Delrins? Carls told me in between the non-tabbed side and spring but I have always ran em in between the cup and spring so they don't get chewed up ?

2 things, I have a 600 and an 800. the primary springs are a different colour so when you brag about the clutch weight are you taking in to consideration that the 800 may have a heavier spring?

Secondly my 600 is stock and just rips and is pretty close to the 800. My question is, "Did you try it stock long enough to see how much gain there was?" After all it took 100 kms for my 800 to wake up.

Easy teth-air just happy with my 600 is all, I take everything into consideration. Did you take into consideration that the 800 motor isn't the most reliable and for $350 you can get a 600 to perform like a STOCK 8.. Just trying a different route this year I don't let my ego get to me so figure I would give the 6 a chance and 100 miles in I'm completely shocked at what the 6 did in Togwotee, I'll be going again in 2 weeks and trying different primary spring and stiffer power valve springs. Ill keep everyone in the loop on how it does.

You know I did not have a spring compressor so I removed the helix and took it to slp and had them install the delrins and reinstall the spring. They put one behind the spring cup so it could pivot and one on the other end of the spring

There is no doubt the 600 run good stock, but there is room for improvement. When you ride at 8-10k the engine loses a lot of compression and the pa 13.6 head adds about 20lbs restoring some much needed compression. The head also has much better squish clearances which increase power. The head is a great mod and makes low-mid power much more responsive. As for primary springs the 600 has a 340 finish rate and the 800 has a 330 finish rate so they are almost the same. The 800 has a 140 start rate and the 600 is around 110. I believe the 600 would be even more responsive with the 140/330 spring that is in the 800 or a 140/340 slp spring.

Just installed a 13.1 head on my 2013 600 pro and it runs much better.

The clutch setup I had was about 100 rpms lower than what I liked
While running at 5000 ft. Installed the head and now it's spot on.

I'm Now running the same setup I ran last year from sea level to 3000 ft, at 5000 ft this year it pulls hard. For a 600. 8,300 rpm is the sweet spot for the 600 motor.

Good job, Brad
