Replacing cam buttons ?

On a 02 Mountain Max, how do you remove the cam buttons (what the helix slides on)? Are they pressed in? Mine have a flat spot on them and I need to replace them.

Just grab em with a pair of pliars and pull them out. They are just pressed in.

I drilled a hole in the center of mine, then they fell right out.

Yep, pliers or snips grab and pull. If they are stubborn and break off, drill a hole in the center and run a sheetmetal or wood screw in the hole and pull on that.

I took the pliers to them the other night. I cracked a cornor off, and they did not budge. I figured I better ask.

Might have to drill mine out. Thanks

I've always poped them out from the backside with a punch and a quick tap with the hammer.

That is the easiest way to get them out!!! You won't break anything or have to use a drill....
