Replacing 06 700 motor with 05 900

I broke the case and crank in my 06 700. I bought a complete 2005 900, I didnt realize they have a different block what else can i expect to be different. Is this a good choice or should i try to go a different rought. Thanks for the help!

Change out steering post, ECU, fuel pump, wiring harness, exhaust, and a some other stuff too. If it came with injectors... good.. if not... EXPENSIVE!!

Better to sell it and look for a 2006

you shouldn't need steering post going to an 05 motor in an 06. but as mh said ecu, fuel pump are diff. and exhaust. wireing harness should work it just has extra connectors for the 2 extra injectors on an 06.

BD...Good Intel on the Steeering post.

Some of the pin-outs are different on the harness.

i will have to check on that but i used my 05 main harness with the 06 ecu harness and everything worked ok. i did change out to an 06 harness later but just because i had some bad wires and found a good used one.
