Replacement oil pump for silber kit

I run à 2011 kit on my 800 pro, ive read about some oilpump failures and would like To be on the safe side. Wheredo i get à replacement pump?

i run 2 and a gauge. if a pump fails my trips not ruined. peace of mind is worth a lot to me way out in the back country

About running 2 pumps at the same time, how much power does the sled deliver? I got à oilpump, EGT, AFR , boost And oilpressure gauge on My sled, can it handle one more pump or Will i fry the electrical system? Does anyone know? How much gauges does your turbo pro got?

Depends where you are pulling the power from. The Walbro pump from Boston Or Justin is great, and a very reliable pump. 2 is probably overkill IMHO. Any problems with these pumps come from crap in the oil.
Oil pressure and boost gauges should be mechanical. No power needed, unless you want them lit.
Are you running the headlight?

Damn, youre right. I dont need em lit.
Yeah i got hedligt, but im removing it to fit an intercooler, Will run one small LED light instead. That would relieve the electrical system à little?!

Its no problem to run without headlights, just disconnect the harness.

Walbros do fail sometimes, but its pretty rare (Ive never seen one in person and I use them quite a bit). They seem like massive overkill (especially 2) though for how much you need to move. Why not just use a hobbs switch that will turn on the second pump if the first is failing, or cuts out the engine or throws a warning when pressure drops? Also make sure to filter pre-pump for reliability.

If you really wanted to get tricky, you could run the pumps PWM to minimize heating the oil and wasted energy, but that is also 1 more thing to go wrong.

i got some great y fittings from a co2 supply outfit.. wanted as smooth of flow as possible.

and i didnt want to complicate things with switches and such. i run no headlight so wasnt concerned about voltage. oil is good for bearings ;)

I thought running no headlights did nothing for the DC voltage system that oil pumps and all of the other turbo related stuff draw from? I think someone was actually trying to test if the headlight removal actually helped out or not, but don't remember the outcome.

It all depends were you are running all your turbo related stuff off of. If you are running your dc turbo stuff off the DC PWR plug above the clutch & the plug up by the headlights, then running without headlights does absolutely nothing for you because they are 2 different circuits(ie run off different coils in the stator).

Installing a new oil pump right now, pump went and took out the turbo in the middle of a climb in Jackson hole last weekend. Not too sure a light is the answer, would be nice to just have a pump that doesn't have issues. I know there may not be a perfect scenario, but I was in a pull at 12 lbs, and could not turn out, next thing I know a loud clank and not enough air to fuel left me rolling backwards. If there was a light installed not sure I would have been able to do anything anyhow. A light for the trail ride in and out would be beneficial though.
