Replacement front shocks

I have an 08 800 dragon. I am fed up with these Walker Evans front shocks. I have had them recharge a couple of time and still they do not last or work good. They loose there charge and are way to soft. They dive or roll into the corners and I have trouble controlling the sled cause of it. What would you suggest for a good replacement shock? I think I would prefer a shock with a spring other then a air shock. I want something that is durable, adjustable for my weight and that will not break the bank. Thanks.

Or else get the walkers with springs like in the new assaults also real nice. I think they are $650 for a set!!!!

I did the same upgrade on my Dragon this year. Fox Zero Pro's from Carls and Walker Evans from Tri City Performance were the best deals I found. Both can custom valve and spring them for you. I went with the WE's from TCP all the way around and dual rate springs.

Make sure you get shocks valved for your RMK not Assault takeoffs, they will be too stiff.

KNOW THIS: There is a huge huge felt performance advantage from high quality shocks like Fox Racing Shox. DO NOT handicap yourself from the advantage of quality air shocks based on your experience with the walker airs. The ability to adjust a shock to tune for your personal preference and performance is irreplacable once you've been to the positive side of performance.

Now you might question durability. One of the sleds that I get to ride daily and had on tour for two complete seasons has the Fox Evol X shocks front and Alpha X in the rear with Evol and Float 1. I've broken five sway bar assemblies, a couple a arms, a ski, a front end set of plastic from riding the stuffing out of this sled. I hate working on sleds almost as much as buying replacement parts....BUT I LOVE RIDING THEM. Just like you I just want to ride and ride hard not wrench or spend money. Two complete seasons of real world hardcore use...never off the sled for a rebuild yet. GOING STRONG RIGHT NOW. Incredible felt performance. There absolutely IS a difference in shocks.

This is not sales BS. This is real world everyday riding experience from a guy who gets the unique opportunity to test ride all kinds of variations of shocks on the exact sled you ride. EXTENSIVE REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE..get good shocks and enjoy your sledding experience that much more!
