S sledneck_03 Well-known member Dec 19, 2009 #2 get 1500 or 2000 grit sand paper and sand them smooth so the tip of your fingernail drags across smooth. if they are sharp they will wreck the seals

R rhino12yr Banned Jan 11, 2010 #4 i have actually used j b weld to fill in the pits. I made sure when I was done it was perfectly smooth. Take your time, it can be repaired.
