Rent in Boulder

Hi guys,

I'm trying to find a place to rent in Boulder. I'll be moving out there in the middle of August but would be willing to sign a lease as soon as May (assuming it's a year lease). I would highly prefer to live with other college aged guys that ride sleds or do any other normal activities. I'm coming from Michigan for my graduate degree and have will have at least 1 sled so a garage is a must. Does anyone know someone that might have a place to rent or know how I could find what I'm looking for?

Thanks!

I've got a place for rent in Empire Tory... it's JUST on the other side of boulder a few minutes, you'll like it!

I would Craigslist it. Be prepared to spend some money. It ain't cheap in boulder. As far as finding folks to ride with, snowest is a great resource as is the local clubs such as mile hi snowmobile club. I live in Boulder and there are a few of us slednecks here. You can pm me if you have anymore questions

Personally, I would suggest something off Moorehead. Big houses usually rented by college students. Generally have garages. You could also try Sumshine Canyon.

I loked North Boulder when I lived there. Amber Cir was pretty sweet. Nice homes (around 3 bedroom usually with garage).

You could try Lyons as well.

Boulder will be a bit tougher for sled buddies. Generally climbers, skiers, backpackers, mtn bikers. There are some there. Some sled skiers.

I loved Boulder. A lot of traffic now a days though. Most of my buddies have moved on.

If you ride a dirt scoot, left hand canyon is the closest riding, if they havent shut it down yet.

Good luck. Cool town

Damn, it'd be awesome to live there but I'm pretty sure I'd get real sick of a 45 mile one-way drive haha.

And living in the most Liberal city in the United States won't make you ill??

But think of all the leaf licking, Obama loving, gun hatin, free loadin and man on man loving friends you could have.

You can even join a prayer circle for dead elk.

Wait, the PRB don't believe in God

Yeah, it will probably suck going to a top tier school also :behindsofa:

Thanks for the info POWDR! I'm not totally sure I'm ready to deal with all the crazies just yet. It's pretty conservative from where I'm from..

I love boulder, lived here most my life. There ate lots of stupid things about boulder and the elk is just one of them. It's got to be better than kremtucky :face-icon-small-sho

I currently live in Boulder and yah there are a lot of the "Hippie Liberals" that you hear about. I also moved here from one of the most conservative place in colorado. I thought i would hate it, but honestly i have grown to really like it. There are stereotypes every where. It just depends on who you choose to associate your self with. I choose to not spend much time around campus around Pearl Street. That is where the Liberal insanity is at its highest. By the way most college towns are that way now. Ft. collins is not that much different. Go on campus, same ****.

Anyway you need to be looking ASAP. Student leasing for the coming fall has already began. So if you want a good place i would get on it. A garage may be hard to find, but its all in what you are willing to pay.
Check out Old Town Superior and Louisville. A little bit of a drive, but not bad.
Good Luck

It was supposed to be a sarcastic type joke. Sorry that your hemp panties got in a twist. And I'll take the helpful, somewhat friendly and neighborly people in Kremtucky over the PRB any day of the week. :amen:

check out "housing helpers", four star realty, or the Colorado daily student paper. there are a few, not many, but a few sledders in Boulder.

Louisville/superior aren't bad at all as far as commuting. I lived in Louisville for a year while I was going to school, definitely doable.

Oh, and yes, Boulder is absolutely terrible. It really sucks walking across campus anytime the weather is warm and having to look at all the incredibly hot college chicks sunbathing. Also, most of those lovely ladies are in the Boulder bars at night, so...
