Removing M-series Track

Textbook way requires a special socket and a new brake disk retaining nut. Some people just take the brake caliper out instead. Not really any harder than a chain case.

Remove Diamond drive assy. Then go to the otherside and remove the five nuts holding the caliperassy on from the inside of the tunnel. You will then be able to finesse the jackshaft so you can remove the track. Not very hard at all.

Side note, I swapped tracks on my M7 in all of 40 min., and it was my first time. It's not bad at all. Take out the long bolt on the brake rotor side, take out the 5 or 6 bolts holding the brake caliper on (they are on the inside of the tunnel), then pull the DD off. You will have to pull the jack shaft towards the rotor side and angle it down a little. Takin the track out is not to bad. Just jack up te rear of the sled and you'll be able to see how you need to twist the track out and aroud the drivers. Good luck!
