removing light and dash pod - need light option

I am removing the light and dash pod to cut some weight of my 94 xlt. I need a good headlight replacement option.

Has anyone done this and what kind of lights did you put back on? where did you mount them? and was wiring easy to complete?

also when do this anything special to keep in mind? like voltage or amperage or anything crazy like that?

I want to do this weekend, so any help quickly would be much appreciated.

I ran a "harbourfreight" fog light on mine. Worked as good as the factory light.

I rode with a guy last year that had an M6 he put a light wieght hood on and just got a fog light for it. Looked to be one that walmart sells for 20 bucks for a set. Seemed to work good for him...
