Removing grease and oil from clothes.

Just wondered if there is a good way to remove grease and oil from your gear. A friend of mine who has never ridden rented a sled a couple weeks ago and it broke down!(What a shock!) As soon as I opened the hood I knew it was going to be a mess! Needless to say as soon as I touched it I hab a big smear of black grime on my brand new gloves!
I thought maybe a scrub with some go-jo might work but I'm not sure!
What do you guys do?
Thanks!

try some castrol super clean..use a spray bottle and soak the areas with it then throw it in the washer same as normal or hand rinse in the sink and air dry...rinse it real good..do it with my bibs/jacket when they get dirty as well as my work clothes...

That OXY spray cleaner works very well. :) It's what I use for our sled gear, and for a LOT of other things (my hubby works in a bodyshop, so he's always coming home with grease and oil on his clothing).

I use greased lightning, but also have tried oxy and super clean. Most important after you wash, do not put in dryer or dry, if is not out. Once you dry it;s basically set in the fabric and will have to work double to get it out.

Try a spray can of brake kleen that you can buy at
auto parts store or wal mart
I get a lot of oil and grease on pants at work
it works great spray it on and rub with a towel and most of
the time it works have used it on my sled gear also

Snowest 4M "Suzie Homemaker" helpful tips thread. LOL. Lot of good tips.

I got some ugly bicycle chain grease on a favorite T-shirt. I rem'brd someone told me about using WD-40.
So I put a clean rag inside the shirt, under the grease stain, and sprayed the greasy area enough to saturate the stain, and flush it thru the shirt into the rag.
Worked perfectly. Washed as usual afterward.
Like "Nole" said, don't put in dryer until you're convinced it's as clean as you can make it, first.

Brakleen, avaliable at most auto-parts stores is very good. Not only for grease removal but, for carpet cleaning. Sorry guys, but this is just my little dig for all our wonderful mates that can't wait to run in and tell us what a wonderful ride they had while we had to work!

Chuck Norris tears will remove any stain known to man.

The only time in history his tears were shed, was when "The Man Show" was cancelled.
