removing glue from hood?

Last week I desided to strip all the stickers off of my 02 viper mountain, the stickers themselves came off without a problem with the help of a heat gun. However when i took the stickers off the entire surface still had glue on it. Tried heating it and scrubbing it, goo-gone, spray 9, even tried spraying the glue with a steamer, but nothing moved to glue well at all. The only thing that takes the goo off at all is a lot of pressure with a rag. Anybody know an easy way or a good product to get the glue off of the sled??
Thanks in advance!

wd 40 works good, spray it on and wait a bit then spray again and start. lots of rags help too.

I used a small rubber-like wheel that I bought from a local napa auto parts store. It connects to a cordless drill, I asked the same question you are and a guy told me to try that. It is normally used to remove pinstriping. It worked slicker than snot. No scratches, and no burn through.

"Goo be gone" works fantastic. I bought mine at Crappy Tire but I am sure you could get it at any local hardware store.

Thanks for the feedback guys!! I am going to try and track down one of those bits that goes onto the drill, somebody recomended that to me earlier, so it sounds like it will do the job.
Feel free to keep the ideas and tips coming!

imo wd 40 doesnt work worth a damn and it took the shine out of the hood made it look flat blue. i have seen a couple people do this and screwed up the hood. leave the decals on and use a pressure washer with cold water peels them right off!

The hood is now perfectly clean. Used a rubber wheel that i found at napa and it attaches to a drill. Its called a pinstripe removal wheel, works great! Just buffed it off and whiped away the dust with a dry rag.
