Removing electric start

I have a 2012 RMK 600 that came with electric start which I didn't want to begin with but our local dealer ordered all 600 with e-start, now my starter is going out with only 1100 miles on the sled. How hard is it to remove that estart?

PM your email and I will send you the instructions for installing an ES. From there you will get an idea of what is involved in taking one out.

It isn't that hard if you are comfortable removing the can, pipe, and Y pipe.

Cheers
Shawn

estart

I left the bendix gear on,i just used a zip tie to keep the flexable drive shaft from bouncing around.I also left the ring gear on the driven clutch.I removed the steel brackets and power wires, starter, relays and the heavy battery ,oh and the key lol

How hard would it be to install electric start? If someone has a functioning ES and they want to get rid of it, I may be interested.
I'm mainly desiring ES for the 12V battery power. Is it possible to ad a 12v to our non ES sleds and will the sled recharge it or is something else needed?

Thanks!
Drew

EX "kits" include the primary clutch as you cannot add the ring gear to a non-ES primary.
