what do i need to do when removing oil pump and run premix? is it possible to keep the pump just for the crank bearings? can i remove the pump completely and fill the pump gear whit grease? its a srx 600 engine...

Why would you want to remove it?
Back in the mid 80's I would say you have a point about them being undependable. But the 90's and newer, why mess with premix? There are always those fluck instances where a pump goes out or an oil line gets pluged but that is slim. And often self inflicted.
If I remember right the old MMax's if you wanted to remove the oil pump you had to split the case and drill a couple holes in the crake case to get oil in to some bearings

Yes, you have to drill a hole into the oil pump / water pump drive gallery from the top to supply lube.
