Remounting stock Apex skid 1/2" higher ?

I was looking at my stock skid and wondering how much difference it would make if I mounted the front arm 1/2" higher in the tunnel to decrease the approach angle a few degrees? I have the room to do this with the 2.25" paddles as far as head room but not sure how this will affect the transfer characteristics and geometry of the skid front to back.....what are your thoughts or suggestions to improve stock skid?

It would be like sucking up your limiter straps, ski pressure would be increased.

clarification

Let me clarify I'm wanting to move the ENTIRE skid up 1/2" in the tunnel to decrease the approach angle...yes I know this will also decrease running board clearance to the snow but I think the benefit would out way the loss in height clearance off the snow...... input guys?

I wouldn't suggest moving the entire skid up, without going back as well. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't recommend EITHER of those choices either. If you want a different approach angle, there is a bit more engineering involved...
