Remedy for a cracked Hood!

Here's a remedy for a cracked hood. 14 gauge stranded colored wire will work great! This hood was stitched together two years ago and the crack has not gotten any worse. The hood near the top was to difficult to pull together, but it's still hanging in there. Just cut the wire long enough to twist together on the inside of the hood. It's a great fix that is quick, inexspensive, and easy!

1- cut up a thin peice of aluminum from home depot
2- tape behind crack on the inside of hood
3- drill some rivet holes on boht sides of this crack
4- add some rivets to these holes
5- ride

my current hood has 5 large cracks and would fall apart if not reinformed with this simple/cheap/functional fix

Thats why I use the duct tape, it work awesome! all I have do is to tape it to cover the crack then color it with marker to match the color... voila! finish in one minute.:face-icon-small-ton

at the end of the a crack, drill a little hole, that way the crack can't continue to crack.....its like a pilot hole

instead of the electircal wire, you can do the same thing with zip ties...drill a hole on each side of the crack and stitch it together with a zip tie...

After the zip ties, you need to cover the repair with goop glue. This will hold everything from movig around. the zip ties also blend in to the repair wih the goop. If your hood is black use the black goop if not black, you can use clear. This stuff is excellent for wire insulation, windshield, boot, and seat repairs aswell.

You could just repair it the right way, with fiberglass...
I know that will take some of the fun out of it, but it's pretty easy to do :D
