Hey all,

I have an 01 Mtn Cat 800 and I was think about moving the mounting location of my rear suspension to the ZR location and was wondering what everybody take was on this. Will it make the sled tend to wheelie bad? How does it do in deep powder? How well does it climb? Pros? Cons? All input is appriciated!
Thanks!

What size Mcat? 144?... I assume by the ZR location you want to move the rear arm forward?
I think it will bottom out easier, due to the fact of increased leverage on the rear springs!
I have seen a 159 set up that way, I just assumed it was set up wrong?
You may get faster weight transfer in a climb situation?
Not sure what the real gain would be?

Yes it is a 144 and you are right about moving the rear swing arm forward. It does make sense that it would be easier to bottom out that way.

Don't do it. In my opinion, it ruins the handling, and the deep snow performance. I guess it depends on what you are trying to gain, but the only thing it will do better is pack the skiis in the air.:face-icon-small-sho
