I have a 500KTM with a Mountain Horse. I am puting in a Rekluse Core EXP clutch. Does anyone has this setup or similar and can give me the ideal set-up formula - what spring to use, shims, ramps etc so I can minimize the trial and error factor...??

?

Can't speak to your bike but, just spent 2 days of riding with newly installed core exp on my wr 450 and it worked awesome. 2 days of bluebird and champagne snow!!!

set up

We ride the Rekluse in both dirt and snow and have found the middle or hard set up to be the best. when first getting used to it the middle is a good set up and then a lot of the guys went to a harder hit. this however will result in a few more stalls as one gets used to the harder hit and the roll on roll off of the clutch.
As far as the snow goes I still ride in the middle setting as I am used to that setting for both dirt and snow. A lot of guys are finding though the harder hit works out well for them in the snow, liking the harder engaement. Another factor to think about is the people you let ride the bike and if it just engaes then they may have to start it if it stalls but they wont slip the clutch continually and burn up the clutches due to slipping it so much. I have rode this clutch all winter in the middle setting with no problems at all and with great response. There are also heavier weights that can be changed out inthe Core EXP if you find the spring difference isnt enough for the feel you like in the engagement.
