I have a 2001 Summit 700 and have been hearing a lot about how you need to regrease the crank bearings. I have also read that they used iso-flex grease on them. Did they use iso-flex in 2001 too and how difficult is it to regrease them?
Thanks

grease

i read in snow tech a couple years ago that there was a cheaper way to buy this expensive grease, it is called topaz nb 52 and call 1-262-375-4100 i saved it in my phone when i saw it cause the stuff from ski doo is expensive

you will have to split the cases, pull the crank, repack the bearings as good as you can, then put a new seal in and put it back together. thats the back yard approach. you want it right you will need the bearings pressed off and repacked. if your going that far i would replace them. ran me a little over $100 for pto bearings. I skipped the iso-flex because of time issues and ran pro-long synthetic. over 400 miles but haven't tore it down to see how it held up?
