reed life 800 ctec best aftermarket replacement

anyone finding chipped reeds. ive got 1300 miles and it runs great but im wondering if anyone with more miles is running into worn or broken reeds. also what aftermarket reeds are working best.

Had a motor go down with a bit more mileage than that and they said reeds were good other than where the rod big end tagged the cage so both cages were replaced by the shop.

I have an 18 zr 8000. Bought sled with 900 miles it had suffered snow ingestion and i noticed scoring on pistons. Pulled top end and had cylinders gone through with new pistons/rings etc.

Reed petals were fine, cages on other hand were delaminating and had chunks missing from the rubber moulding. I replaced with vforce since they were proven to make power on the 18+ engines.

Was not happy with reed cages at all how damaged they were

We have had really good luck with both boyesen and vforce. The boyesen does make slightly more power than the v force. If its a 2018-2019 use the boyesen for sure. 2020-2021 we use the v force. You can use the boyesen in the 2020 models if you move the oil lines back to the intake manifold instead of the crankcase.

My sled I think I tipped just over 1800 miles, no issues with reeds yet.
