Does anybody make a reed cage mount that will hold up on these sleds. I bought a set of the kimpex and only got 2 rides before they cracked and that was with insulated heat tape. thanks

I replaced mine with the polaris updated boots and have not had a problem since. Maybe check your motor mounts to see if they are allowing the motor to move around too much causing them to crack.
mounts all look good, sled only has 400 miles so everything is still real tight. thinking its more of a heat issue, picked up a set of the updated mounts and gonna try them with some heat tape and maybe a heat shield. the kimpex boots i bought through dennis kirk and they are refunding my money as soon as i send them pics

Glad to see they are willing to do a refund. Might have been from a bad batch? I have the kimpex ones going on third season. Heat tape changed every couple months when notice it is starting to tear or come apart. Running a dynoport pipe set up so itdoes see a Good deal of heat. Just replaced the tape december and no signs of cracking on the kimpex yet.

I went with a piece of 5x10 aluminum plate. Not sure if it will act as a heat shield or heat sink and heat the carbs !! $5 !

i did end up building a heat shield when i had it all apart. mine is a bit smaller and i also added heat tape to the top of the shield.
