Reecer Creek Parking

How far up the road is the parking???

A week ago we parked the truck low in the morning and then rode the pavement down in the afternoon.

Typical deal this time of year.........New snow, park low and run pavement coming down....If it hasn't snowed for a few days, drive as high as you can and go.....Big snow up on top....The bamboo poles to mark the route are buried right now,.....Be a good spring season.....

Pretty well said it there for sure.

Park as high as possible in the morning. Have fun!!

I think the question was more geared to finding out how difficult it might be to bring in the camper...

I guess the answer papa bear was looking for is that no one knows... lol

Well---we can not read more into the question like our mind reader--ruffryder---LOL

The parking there changes almost day to day sparky--most of the parking there is the side of the road unless the snow is LOW---which it is not right now---So there is the defintitive answer---LOL

We did not think about his 40' long trailer---he would have to back that up the road anyways--LOL:face-icon-small-win

You didn't need to if you would of answered the question with something else besides... it fluctuates this time of year.. very informative..

I am guessing after the next couple of days the parking will change dramatically anyways.

Well papa bear, I guess you are just going to have to go and let us all know where / how it is.

Though, I think a response of, "the parking is getting up there", might be appropriate. lol

Hoping I can get to the first parking lot - at 4000' elevation.

Frequently there is a big drift of snow just prior to the parking lot, near Forest Road 112.

It aint a 40' trailer, it's only 38'.:face-icon-small-win

Ruffy---easy there puppy----See all the LOL's there---easy there. I was there a week ago and it was still low---how's about you--LOL

Marty--you will probabley get to the sharp left if that is the lot you are thinking of. Have fun.

You sure it is only 38':face-icon-small-win

Got over to Reecer friday morning about 9.

Dropped the trailer down near the turn-arounds. Drove up, found a snow bank between Rd 112 and the first parking lot. Throttled the duramax thru a half dozen times - back and forth. It was knee deep in the morning. Went and got the trailer. Was a lot easier than I figured gettin through the snow with the trailer. Then I nearly got stuck in the mud of the first parking lot! Snow from the parking lot up (friday).

By friday evening most of the snow bank that I had to throttle thru was melted off.

Turkey hunters kept coming and going - I didn't see any - me thinks its a bit early. The guys target shooting may have scared off any turkey in the area as well. Those target shooters stayed in tents friday night - that musta been real fun. The wind was hoaling and rocking the trailer.

Saturday night was more wind - musta been 25-35 knots.

I am looking to go riding up reecer on friday. could somebody tell me how to get up to reecer creek coming from Eburg canyon. specific directions with street names would be great. I haven't been up to reecer before. Thanks.
