how does that compare to amsoil, the red stuff. Been running that in my sled for a some time. might switch if the price and performance is equal or better.
Compare to Amsoil? Not going to comment on that. I will tell you that a few years ago SLP did extensive testing of all the different oils on the market. Their conclusion was that it was the best product they could find to recommend to the people who had been previously running their oil which they would no longer be producing. They do not sell this oil themselves so they had nothing to gain from the recommendation. I trust SLP's tech department and have been running it myself for many years and I believe in the product. In my mind the price really doesn't matter. If it is a little higher and a better product it doesn't bother me. If I use 4 gallons a year and my total added cost is $60 for the season it really didn't matter so I don't get hung up on oil costs. Redline Snowmobile Oil sells for $40 a gallon and Redline Two Stroke Racing Oil sells for $55 a gallon. I personally run the Two Stroke Racing Oil in my turboed and modded sleds and Snowmobile Oil in my stock sleds. It all works great. Call or message me if you want some or need more information.
