Looking at switching to a different oil, coming off of Klotz. Just wondering how the Redline oil smells.

Only looking for info on Redline, please keep comments directed at the topic....what does Redline Race Oil smell like?

Klotz has that heavenly race gas smell. Redline, to me, smells like burning plastic. It does not smell as good but performs oh so well!

I'm just looking for something different to run in my RKT BB. Klotz does have a good smell to it, not going to deny that! Just seems like at the end of the day though my clothes smell SO bad from the Klotz. Was just looking at alternatives.

So performance wise, what could I expect from Redline? It comes highly recommended by a lot of people on here, but just not sure what to expect.

Ditto on the burning plastic smell.

Don't know anyone who is dissapointed with it's performance.

I loved the smell of Redline. I am currently burning Klotz due to being able to buy it cheaper then Redline. I would go back in a heart beat if I could find it cheaper.

i have been running redline for years and love it. it smells awesome....

i have no idea why some think it smells like burning plastic....doesent smell like that at all.

oil

Redline is a superior product, but my clothes do smell aweful. That why I wear old raty stuff..Never smelled any good oil yet... JMO..

Yup, I guess that's why there are cats, doos, and poos. We all got different tastes.

The synthetic redline(and one of the doo oils) is nasty, nasty, nasty to my nose, but perfume to another.

I run klotz and can't hardly smell it any more but folks following me sure know I run it.

Go figure????????

If you're looking for a classic 2 stroke smelling oil, get some Esso 2 cycle motor oil. I can't comment on the performance but the smell will take you back to the good ole days of the 2 stroke. If you want a pretty smelling oil then get some polaris VES gold. On the other hand, if you're after performance then get something that works the best.
