I agree, the only red rep that I have received was on Obama threads and not one of them were signed.

Alright, here's the drill. I was going to start a thread, but since there is yet another one, I'll just use it.
I, and the other mods/administrators have the ability to see who really left rep for whom. Therefore, if you are going to leave negative rep. make sure that it is not filled with profanity or other inappropriate stuff. If it is, and the person who receives it wants to report it, we will find out who left it and for what reason. Depending on the situation, it may lead to banning, rep. reset, or some other, as yet determined, punishment. Also, leaving deplorable rep. and signing someone else's name is not allowed. If it happens and I find it, you will be banned, stripped of your post count, and stripped of your rep. points.
The rep system has no validity right now. We turned it off, people whined and complained. We leave it on, people whine and complain. Frankly I'm tired of dealing with it, but since the software we use is not custom, we're stuck with what we have right now.

I hink forgetting to leave yer name is throwing salt in the wound. Besides why get pizzed off at rep on a frickin computer. Ive learned enough on here with or with out rep to tune my sleds in. And Ive been able to help a few guys out with some things Ive learned. Like someone said its a "bigger nut" thing. And for the most part a waste of time. Most guys on here with tons of post count have racked that up with; LOL, thats funny, bahahahahahah, nice and many other unuseful lines. I think post count and rep is useless. I always give green just to play...........
It is hard to take post count seriously on here. Some people that have 1000 post might have 900 of them be nothing more than "LOL" or LMAO. Another forum that I frequent a lot does not include post from the off topic section into the post count. I think that works well. When someone has a lot of posts they have actually contributed.
I think it's a good system.
Way I figure, you have to earn your red dots. And anyone that's a big enough dishpit to earn a red dot from me, is probably just gonna red dot me back anyway if I sign it. For some people it's just a game, and if we all have to suffer some imature twats retribution, well, nobodies gonna use it.
That's a good system that BigDarrin has, if someone is a abusing the system, let the admin know and he can lay down the ban-hammer.
I think wickman has a great idea too, if it's possible to implement in the current forum.

Every single one of my 13,000+ posts contains useful, valuable information. I don't know what you're talking about.
Really though, the 'rep' thing was fun when it was a big deal to get anohter . Now theres' a lot of people that can max it out either way with one hit; not nearly as much fun anymore.
It's all in good fun, and when you spend a bit of time on a forum you learn who the idiots are and who you can trust for good information.

Whoopie. This place is getting just like work. There has to be more and more rules made to keep the whiners happy. Get rid of the rep thing all together I could care less. Now everyone please red rep me I am tired of being beyond repute. Be nice and I do not care if you sign it.
