Record Lows!!! Eastern Washington

It's been cold in the mornings for a good week or so up here... today is quite a bit warmer than the past few days (probably because NOAA forecasted snow for last night ) I'm hoping for another good winter!

The cold front was sposta be here at 5 am and it was 46 degrees at 7am???

I did hear fom an aunt in Missula they got 6" last night!

Better break the sleds out this weekend and start gettin ready!!

Here we gooooo....

Bring the snow~!!!!!:D:D

Definitely just 6" of snow:)

Just got a call from the shop, the update is done:( , i was hoping to have more time to do mods? Maybe next summer?

There should be a snow show in the spring while all your sled needs are fresh in your head and you have time to do them.

I tried to get the official snow fall from plain hardware to see how far I was off with the correlation between southern pacific oscillation and Plain’s snowfall. They couldn’t remember and wouldn’t look, but the fish lake total was 143, midway 132, and calculated plain (132 x .92) 121. My initial forecast was 160” and a hopeful 200” + season based on initial forecasts from NOAA. Mid winter, with revised forecasts and updated info on the earlier than expected rise in SPO, I predicted 141”. Still off by 20”. There might be something to the “rate” of change either warming or cooling that may account for the difference. Example, last march the increase leveled out in the SST 3.4and we got dumped on up high.

Still hope though; the actual SPO line looks to be leveling, and even dropping, while the prediction lines keep increasing. The annual average Is forecasted to be at ~0.4; which puts us in the range of about 125 inches in Plain on my plot graph from last year.
There are some points around 150 inches max in this range, but I’d expect that to be an optimistic season.

My prediction is 125” a little (93% of) less than an average season with a range of 100-150 inches depending on the actual SPO trend. Lets hope for cooling.

Today was the first day of the season that I had to have my heater on in my rig in the middle of the day:eek::D

Forecast for tonight calls for a low of 21*:D

I need to get the boat winterized still:eek::eek:

Cold

Just returned home from two days up at our cabin winterizing it. After a good night at Whistlin Jacks bar returned to the cabin and noticed the thermometer was at 19' (2400 ft elev) at 1 am friday morning. Cold
