ReConstruct Car Title??

I'm looking at a set of fresh wheels for the wife and found a nice one but the seller says it's a well done reconstruct w/o any running gear or frame damage. Just sheet metal in front. What's a good percentage to deduct from a regular avaerage sales price? I'm guessing 30% if everything looks good.

It's an 07 Caddy with 10K miles

Another thing to consider is if and how your insurance co. would cover your new ride.

the only problem is a car with that high of value is it will be awful hard to resell unless you keep it for awhile. also unless you've got cash financing is tough. most peeps in that market are older and have no interest in a salvaged title so unless your selling it cheap, about 50% of unsalvage price interest will be low.

My question is, why would it be a salvage title if it was just front sheet metal.

Ive fixed a couple of wrecks and it usually takes more than a clip to total an 07 caddy.

I have been told that on a salvage title, the only insurance you will be able to get is liability. Usually on a salvage title, insurance has already paid for the car once, they don't want to again.

not here in alaska,I built this truck from the ground up..it started as a 73 1/2ton with an 82 body..was titled as a reconstructed...had full coverage statefarm insurance on it for over 14 yrs...never had a problem with insurance or interest in buying it when I sold it....

Ive got full coverage on both my vehicles, and they are both salvage titles fixed by me. My insurance agent says it was not an issue since i didnt make the first claim on the vehicle.

Send me the VIN I can run a VIS from home on the GM system and check for warranty block, I will run you a carfax, but can't from here, I need to be at work Mon.
